One day at a time...

Well it's been about a month since I left my job and yet it seems like it's been much longer. This month has just flown by and things are still pretty busy around here. I really thought after quitting my job that I would have all this free time. That totally has not been the case! I guess school, my change project, and volunteering keep me a lot busier than I thought it would. I honestly don't know how I used to keep up with everything with a full-time job!

Well my change project is coming along nicely. The working title for our service project is called Conversations for Social Action (CSA) and our focus is to help people in career transition. As the unemployed population seems to be growing each day, it seems like the timing of our project comes at a good time.

Recently, I've been getting more involved with the local and national Organizational Development networks. It's been nice to network and get to know others in my field. I've also signed up to volunteer with
Community Consulting Partnership (CCP). I think this will be a great experience and I'm really looking forward to starting this next week.

Other than school and volunteering, I have enjoyed having a little more time to see my friends and family. It's nice feeling so much less stressed and having the time to hang out from time to time. I was even able to go out last Sunday after class with other people in my cohort...which I haven't done in over 6 months. So all in all...I'm quite enjoying the not working thing and being able to focus just on school and other things.
